Philip Thormann
- more than ten years' experience in appointments to executive management, boards and the second tier of leadership, as well as supervisory and advisory board mandates
- focus on industrial Mittelstand companies, family businesses, single family offices and foundation-owned enterprises across the German-speaking region
- sectors: mechanical and plant engineering, industrial technology, supply chain, logistics, energy
In many companies, a gap lies between a strategic decision and its effect. That gap costs money. Philip Thormann fills the positions that close it.
His clients sit on both sides of the enterprise – among shareholders and boards as much as at the operational helm. He knows both logics from his own career, that of capital and that of the business. This dual perspective shapes every search he conducts.
Where he finds hidden constellations within a leadership structure, he says so – asked or not. Every search ends with one recommendation. Not five.
His career began in international industry. He then took responsibility for merger projects as a consultant and interim professional, both in the preparation of a deal and in the integration that follows, building leadership teams and developing organisations along the way.
That work led him into executive search. Before joining Deininger, Philip Thormann worked for leading executive search firms in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
